The market leader in self-adhesive labels is creating a Global Wine & Spirits Director position for Europe. He will have the overall responsibility for the Company’s business development and marketing activities towards end users in the Wine & Spirits business.
Responsabilités The Global Wine & Spirits Director will work with the regional teams to drive decoration technology transfer to pressure sensitive labeling technology. He will further grow the Company’s label stock business by establishing and maintaining relationships with end users and supporting activities towards converts (printers) within Europe and across different regions. The position can be based in France (Grenoble), The Netherlands (Amsterdam) or Luxembourg.
Missions • Develop and execute the overall strategy for the Company’s global wine & Spirits labeling business
• Coordinate and align activities of different regions towards global end users. Ensure information flow and consistent product positioning
• Build a solid network of relationships with senior managers of end users (wineries, design agencies, spirits brands) to promote pressure sensitive labeling technologies and drive decoration technology transfer
• Develop deep understanding of key packaging trends in Wine & Spirits and derive implications for future label stock demand
• Convert market insights into new products and technologies to drive future growth
• Work with Marketing Communications to further develop our Market leading Sales collateral and campaigns to support our sales activities
• Maintain regional and global pipeline of business opportunities in Salesforce.com
• Support our sales force in selling wine & spirits labeling materials to converters (push)
• Develop annual plan of segment activities (“A3”), assign responsibilities and take accountability for implementation
• For key strategic global end user accounts, develop and maintain annual account plans in close collaboration with regional Wine & Spirits contacts
• Closely work with Sales Directors to ensure opportunities are fully captured at converter level
• Ensure best practice transfer both across regions as well as across end user accounts to maximize the global business opportunity for the Company
• Establish and maintain monthly reporting in Salesforce.com
• Together with Corporate Communications, develop and maintain a PR strategy, which positions the Company as key brand in packaging for Wine & Spirits
• Represent The Company World Wide at key industry events and give presentations to promote our reputation among end users
• Lead the European Wine & Spirits team (4-5 people), provide coaching and ensure development of team members
• Provide functional leadership to regional Wine & Spirits contacts in the US, Latin Americas and Asia Pacific
Profil recherché • At least 12-15 years of professional experience
• Expert knowledge of wines and spirits in general
• Well established network in Wine & Spirits industry
• Prior experience in a senior customer facing role (e.g. Sales Director, Business Development Director)
• Proven track record in building and maintaining customer relationships
• Knowledge of packaging for beverages preferred
• Strong social skills; able to build lasting trust based relationships with key end users
• Excellent communication and listening kills
• Good business judgment
• Culturally sensitive and experienced to work in an international organization
• Fluent in English and French, other languages a plus
• Able to travel globally (approx 60%)
